St.
Clare’s Comforters Quilt Guild P. Louis O’Callaghan Scholarships and the
Judith Underland Scholarship
St. Clare’s Comforters Quilt Guild presents scholarships
in memory of P. Louis O’Callaghan to members of Our Lady of the Snows or St.
Francis Xavier Parish toward post-secondary education. This year we will
also be presenting a Scholarship in memory of Judith
Underland.
The P. Louis O’Callaghan Scholarships and the Judith Underland Scholarship will be awarded directly to the
individual for use in the course of study stated in the application. The award is paid by check upon
acceptance to a school of continuing education. It may be used for application fees,
tuition and/or direct expenses for education after completion of high
school. The scholarships are a
one-time grant that can be applied for again each year.
Applications must be completed
in their entirety. Credit is given for the overall quality as well as the
content of the application. St. Clare’s Comforters Quilt Guild expects that
the course of study will be completed with passing grades. Documentation of
enrollment or attendance may be needed. The P. Louis O’Callaghan
Scholarships and the Judith Underland Scholarship will be awarded at the discretion of St. Clare’s
Comforters Quilt Guild. Applicants may be asked to meet directly with the
selection committee to personally explain their application.
Submittal Deadline: Applications must be
submitted by March 3, 2013. They may be given to Fr. Alex or they can
be sent to the parish office.
